'ORCHARD VIEW', PRIVATE HOUSE 

Defined by organic forms and high functionality with minimal ornamentation this living area balances sophistication with sculptural mid century modern furniture and clean lines. Glass walls on both ends itself led to the spirit of a modern tree house. While one end opens out to the front garden, the other end overlooks the backyard apricot and cherry tree view through a large balcony. The black and white living room showcases organic earth tones and unique textures. The natural stone geometric fireplace adds warmth without intruding to the flow as well as serving a divider with the dining area. A leather Italian sofa, a sculptural egg swirl chair, a unique Barcelona chair, in addition to ahead of her time Eileen Gray’s 1927 Transit Chair inspired pair of lounge chairs with a custom curated coffee table make up the living space. Auctioned vintage orange polycarbonate bar chairs add a pop of color and excitement to the space along with the bright abstract art in the living room. Custom drawn travertine dining table allows for the light to seep into the space in the afternoon without blocking the view with its minimal sculptural form. A vintage favourite find, space age circa-1960 lamp and organic light fixtures illuminate the space with artistic taste.
